Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about shooting and processing CineStill Film.
What makes CineStill film different from standard color negative film?
CineStill film is created using motion picture cinema stock. We utilize a proprietary process to remove the Rem-Jet anti-halation layer, making it compatible with standard C-41 laboratory processing while providing unique halation effects around light sources.
Where can I get my CineStill film developed?
Because the Rem-Jet layer has been removed, our 800T, 400D, and 50D films can be safely processed at any commercial photo lab that offers standard C-41 color processing.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship our film and chemistry worldwide. Shipping rates and delivery times vary by destination and are calculated at checkout. Please note that customers are responsible for any local customs duties or taxes.
How should I store my film to ensure quality?
For best results and long-term stability, we recommend storing unexposed film in a cool, dry place, such as a refrigerator. Always allow the film to reach room temperature before opening the canister to prevent condensation.
What is your return policy on film and chemistry?
Due to the light-sensitive nature of our products, we cannot accept returns on film or chemical kits once they have been shipped. If you receive a defective product, please contact our support team within 30 days.
Is CineStill film safe for airport X-ray scanners?
High-speed films like CineStill 800T are sensitive to X-rays. We recommend requesting a hand-inspection for your film at airport security checkpoints to avoid potential fogging or damage from scanners.
